  • Based on her 10+ years as an academic expert in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), including critical race theory, Sunny recognized the vital need for healing within communities. This led her to train with the Kellogg Foundation to facilitate Community Healing Circles.

Rooted in the traditions of Native and Indigenous cultures, these circles are designed to build trust, empathy, and understanding across community members. These practices emphasize the importance of connection, mutual respect, collective healing, and understanding within communities. Community healing circles can be a transformative experience for people in corporate, community, and educational settings. Colleagues cultivate a workplace morale that feels more inclusive and therefore productive, through building relationships rooted in better understanding of others' lived experiences.
